What is Courage to Shine ?
Courage to Shine is an NGO (Non governmental organization )which brings people together; youths, adults and the elderly from across the world to develop themselves. We work on ourselves and through the help of others in transforming our lives; to shine into a better, healthier, wiser, purer person and possibly leaving a legacy behind. The NGO celebrates people from various races, ages (from legal age) and abilities. Our Aim is that of self-transformation; body, soul and spirit.
Who is the founder?
Tania Borg, is a founder who saw a lack in the people in shining their way through life and within their community. One needs self-knowledge, self-care, work, discipline, courage, truth and authenticity to become oneself. These are the works of the Courage to Shine.
Tania Borg holds a Masters in philosophy of Education, (University of Malta, 2018) and a post graduate study in Comparative Education, (EMCER, UoM, 2010) where she studied European and Latin American non-formal educational systems. Tania holds a diploma in Adult and Community development (UoM, 2003) and a Bachelor of Education specialising in Inclusion, education for Sustainability and Special Needs. (UoM, 2001). Tania is in the process of publishing her first book "becoming herself" a self-development non-fiction, narrative analysis post-modern biography of women teachers.
We have organized Erasmus, Erasmus plus, youth in Action, Comenius, Grundvig and attended Salto conferences in developing ourselves. We organize and develop contact making seminar, youth exchanges, train the trainers courses, seminars and conferences in the EU. We have participated in training in Brazil, Shangai and also various countries in the EU. This is an EU registered NGO, we develop ourselves through formal, non-formal and informal learning. This NGO focuses mostly on the latter two, learning which takes place away from formal schooling, colleges and universities. we organize youth exchanges, youth seminars, youth conferences and fora for incidental learning. We speak English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Maltese and we are looking for partners in applying for European Projects and Interreg
